If you haven’t already seen enough pictures capturing the scenic beauty in India, here are some more for you to feast your eyes on. Joel Xavier is an avid photographer and loves to ride his bike. He graduated from IIM Ahemedabad and instead of pursuing a busy corporate career he went back to mentoring students at business schools. He is currently working as a Student affairs and Placement manager at IIM Udaipur. He has agreed to share some pictures from his bike rides in maharashtra and along the west coast in route to Goa with us today. Here’s what Joel had to say about his journey:
If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away. – H. D. Thoreau
If You feel that the journey holds more than the destination itself; that there is a way to do everything but you would rather do it your way, welcome home. People who snatch life out of time to go off the beaten track and do things their own way, who live life to the fullest because “they wish to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if they can not learn what it had to teach, and not, when they came to die, discover that they had not lived”. I am, obviously, inspired by Thoreau.
The journey held far more charm than the destination. Not that destinations were undeserving, but to see and do the usual thing was just not me. If you are shaking your head in agreement, you will probably understand me better.
Thanks Joel for the lovely photo-feature!
